What is NVIS?

How do I setup NVIS?

NVIS has intelligent provisioning, so it's zero config for each node it's installed on.

What's the difference between a Proxy and VPN Service?

A proxy server is a middleman that forwards your traffic with no encryption. A VPN encrypts. Like a VPN, NVIS encrypts end-to-end but also peer-to-peer allowing communication between every node in your network group.

Can I use NVIS instead of my current VPN?

Yes! NVIS provides a secure network and gives each node its own IP which can be seen globally by your designated peer nodes.

Can I get trial account prior to purchase?

NVIS clients are free to use and by default are members of the "invisible internet" test network. The paid service allows you to mangage your own private network.

How many concurrent connections do you allow?

NVIS is a pipeline. Concurrent connections are limited only by the capacity of your machines and the services they run. For instance,, if you have a web server that has a limit of 256 connections, that will be the same if you connect to it via the NVIs IP.

How can I test VPN servers’ connectivity for my current location?

Just install one of our clients and connect to some of our demo nodes worldwide.

Technical Guideline/How to Use

I can connect, but cannot browse.

NVIS is a private network. It is not used to browse the Internet like the Consumer VPNs. You can browse sites on our network, or web servers you have in your network (for instance, your organizations intranet.

Does this site or device work with NVIS?

Multiple platforms can run NVIS. Any provider that wants to join the NVIS network can make their sites or services available by installing our software.

What ports should be open on firewall/router for it to work?

NVIS is pure layer 2 encryption, so it does not tunnel through any TCP port.
